A design originally used by early European blacksmiths in the iron age the blacksmith's cross was rediscovered by Christoph Friedrich in an archeological dig in the 1970s. He re-introduced the technique and it's been part of the modern blacksmith's trade ever since.
These blacksmith cross pendants are hand forged from a single bar of A36 steel with a rustic hammered texture. Each cross measures roughly two inches by one and a half inches and come with approximately 32" of genuine leather cord. Perfect for historical reenactments, renaissance festivals, SCA events or everyday wear.
Hammer finished at the anvil, wire brushed and finished with peanut oil while hot.
