There are few things more depressing than sitting down for a feast wearing proper period clothing and there, in the flickering torchlight, taking out flatware from the big box store to eat with.
These full sets of medieval feast gear consist of an early period fork, spoon and knife with curved finials and matching decorative twists.
Each set started as one and a half Size 0 - Diamond Classic horseshoes that were hot cut at the anvil and drawn out and forged to roughly 1/4" at their thickest point. Perfect for historical reenactment, renaissance festivals, SCA events, LARPs or any occasion where you'd rather not use mass produced flatware.
No power tools, or machining, traditional hammer finished at the anvil, soaked in vinegar and saltwater then finished with food-safe canola oil while at a low red heat. Once they are yours, treat them as you would any cast iron cookware. Hand wash, dry well and treat with a food-safe oil of your choice.
All hand forged items will have minor variances in design. Eating knives are not sharpened.
