These viking eating spikes / scribes are hand forged from quality 1018 steel with a curled finial and a straight twist.
The steel was drawn out and forged to a width of 1/4" at its thickest point. Perfect for historical reenactment, renaissance festivals, SCA events or any occasion where you'd rather not use mass produced flatware.
No power tools, or machining, traditional hammer finished at the anvil, wire brushed and finished with food safe canola oil while red hot.
All hand forged items will have minor variances in design.

Came back to Chauncey for a replacement of the original spike/fibula he made for me 2 years ago and it's even better than before. At that time, I also asked Chauncey to for his help to make me a custom Troll Cross as I could not find it online ANYWHERE. The very next day he forged it and then sent me the finished piece that is now part of my Ren Faire costume. It's evenly shaped and the right size for a belt buckle and hasn't rusted or deformed in any way. Highly recommend working with him if you have specific ideas in mind. He is extremely flexible, responsive, and artistic. You will not be let down!
